The content explores the basics of mechanical design and Rapid Prototyping techniques and is taught using NX 10 as a platform, with focus on Design Features, Sketches, Technical Drawings and Assemblies. Throughout the course, Frederik has rapidly distinguished himself as a highly curious and dedicated student, actively participating in the educational dialogue. He remains in memory as a student who always tried to approach tasks from multiple perspectives, thus showing his curiosity and desire to acquire extensive insight into the topic. Rapid Prototyping proved a key interest point for Frederik, who exhibited both the knowledge and desire required to help expanding the facilities at The University of Southern Denmark in Sønderborg. As part of his employment as a Student Helper, Frederik went above and beyond in duties and developed a complex permission-based online booking system for the facilities, among other improvements he consistently brought to the facilities. I have also co-supervised Frederik’s Bachelor Thesis, where he showed independence and creativity, performing a thorough comparitive analysis of maker spaces in the rapid prototyping context with minimal involvement of his supervisors. On a personal level, I find Frederik to be a very ambitious and focused individual, always goal-oriented with respect to accomplishing his practical and theoretical tasks. "
