About Hon. Fred Foreman

After retiring as Chief Judge of the 19th Judicial Circuit of Lake County, In 2014 I rejoined Freeborn & Peters LLP as Senior Counsel in the Firm’s Litigation and Government & Regulatory Practice Groups.I was elected Circuit Judge in 2004. From 2004-2012, I presided as a Trial Court Judge until my election by my fellow Circuit Judges as Chief Judge in 2011 and served as Chief Judge from 2012-2014.I also participate in a number of pro bono activities, including serving as a member of theboard of the Illinois Judges Association, as a member of the board of the Illinois Judges Association Foundation, and as a Past President and member of the Board of the Jefferson Inn. I have also served on the Board of the Lake County Bar Association.
