  As the Electrical Solutions (ES) Test Operations Manager I am responsible for managing both functionally and operationally seven highly skilled teams of approximately 160 people including managers, supervisors, engineers, and technicians that design, build, test, deliver, and integrate into spacecraft and other technologies a full spectrum of electrical products from fixtures, cables, and STE/EGSE, to space flight boards, boxes, and instruments to our internal and external customers… Show more As the Electrical Solutions (ES) Test Operations Manager I am responsible for managing both functionally and operationally seven highly skilled teams of approximately 160 people including managers, supervisors, engineers, and technicians that design, build, test, deliver, and integrate into spacecraft and other technologies a full spectrum of electrical products from fixtures, cables, and STE/EGSE, to space flight boards, boxes, and instruments to our internal and external customers. Strategic and operational responsibilities include the development of the ES Test Operations department mission, vision, strategic objectives, strategy/execution flow down, performance measuring and monitoring, process improvement initiatives, and building and developing a high performance and well-integrated cross functional organization. Other responsibilities include future state test system architectures, organizational structure, staffing, and talent development needed to meet budget, cost, and performance objectives, test facility and asset management including software license agreements, external maintenance and calibration agreements, and coordination of program execution through the test facilities. Functional manager responsibilities include leadership/manager coaching, communication plans and department wide all hands meetings, talent development, performance reviews, employee goal setting, department merit increases, promotions, providing annual hiring plans and regular staffing projections, job descriptions and issuing job requisitions, hiring all department personnel to meet extremely aggressive staffing plans, allocating personnel to programs, incentive and bonus program implementation, and personnel performance management with our organizations HR business partners, and managing the test operations department budget.
