Fred Haas is a Senior Tax Manager of the Tax Core Group for Ford Motor Company, where he specializes in Federal Tax Controversy, International Tax and Global R&D Tax Credit matters. Over the past 11 years, Fred has led numerous projects to design and implement new solutions to automate and improve key functional operations within Ford’s Office of Tax Counsel in the U.S., Canada and the United Kingdom. He launched the first web-based document management repository and audit discovery system for his office. Currently, Fred is leading Ford’s implementation of Thomson Reuters’ OneSource Workflow Manager, Audit Manager and R&D Credit Manager products.Fred has over 24 years of global experience at Ford Motor Company. In addition to his current responsibilities, Fred has extensive experience in tax planning, analysis, forecasting and IRS audit management issues. Outside of tax-specific matters, Fred has in-depth knowledge of product development and plant-level operations.Fred earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Michigan State University and a Master’s of Science in Taxation degree from Walsh College. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Michigan.
