• Able to perform all duties as a RCP 1 and 2 in all areas of the hospital and take on ECMO patients (complex patient assignments).• Oversees and trains staff in all ICUs, OR, and bronchoscopy assists.• Able to function as the Charge RCP to distribute the day's assignments for the hospital, resolve interpersonal conflicts between staff/medical team/patients/families, and acts as the resource for the rest of the RCP team for the current shift.• Maintain working knowledge of all respiratory-related equipment in the hospital.

• Able to perform all duties as a RCP 1 in all areas of the hospital, including all three ICUs (cardiovascular, pediatric, and neonatal), MRI, CT, Operating Rooms, Cath Lab, as well as able to perform all intra-hospital transports. • Able to function as the Team Lead (TL) of the designated ICU (in cardiovascular, pediatric, or neonatal ICUs), acting as the liaison for the respiratory department and maintaining an open line of communication in between the RCP Charge, ICU RN Charge, ICU MD, and RCP staff within the ICU. • Administration of aerosolized medications via hand held nebulizers (HHN), metered dose inhalers (MDI), dry powder inhalers (DPI), large volume continuous nebulizers, and intrapulmonary percussive ventilation (IPV). • Responding to cardiopulmonary arrests and rapid response calls for airway management and ventilation. • Performing routine tracheostomy care and weaning, as well as educating the patients' families. • Administration of medical gases including nitric oxide (iNO) via nasal cannulas, oxygen masks, high flow nasal cannulas, large volume nebulizers, and mechanical ventilation. • Competent in the application mechanical ventilator modalities including flow volume loops and high frequency.• Providing continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) or biphasic positive airway pressure (BiPAP) for patients who use such devices at home• Performing airway clearance using chest physiotherapy (CPT), vibratory positive expiratory pressure devices, cough assist device, or nasotracheal suctioning• Assembling and assuring safety and proper functioning of all equipment /supplies necessary for providing respiratory care• Documentation of results, findings, and assessments in the patient’s electronic medical record
