Bringing all experiences from being a Sales Director, MD at Fast & Beautiful and heading up our group, the challenges were enormous right when we were pressured on all fronts in terms of weak sales and increasing commodity costs. Furthermore a changing government compliance landscape in terms of corporate taxation and local regulations further hindered our ability to flourish. All pressures aside, we managed, through rigorous cost cutting measures, re-invention of operations and further analysis to our cost structure, which, blunted the full force behind what was (in my view) one of the most difficult periods for foreign manufacturers in many years. During this period, intensive daily reviews of cost and control were at my list of priorities. A thorough review of our manufacturing processes indicated there were inefficiencies and new measures were put in place. An overhaul of management and pay structure was also done during this period. During this time, the board realized that the future lies in more value added services, hence Yau Bon Technologies was commissioned.

Fast & Beautiful Printing is a company designed to support Yau Bon Offset Printing for Chinese domestic orders. Primarily engaged in the same print activities for Yau Bon Offset Printing, this print facility is geared for domestic China. A smaller version of Yau Bon Offset Printing, my tenure involved running the print facility on a smaller scale, sales, production, inventory, finance, quality and purchasing were managed. Since 2010 FB printing has been incorporated into Yau Bon Offset Printing due to updated legal legislation practices as stipulated by the customs and tax revenue departments of the PRC.

Managed a team of 20+ Sales & Marketing Staff for Yau Bon Offset Printing. Engaged in peer to peer training, performance appraisals, SWOT analysis, game theory management techniques, coordination with production for sales projection forecasting. Other responsibilities included: market research, new product development, managing accounts receivables and qualifying potential clients through a system of financial indicators.
