For the past 8 years I worked in a group called Services Technology Solutions where I helped specify Services Automation tool designs that consist of Business Logic (policies) that are applied against mass customer data to produce reports of exceptions to configuration best practices, syslog messages, and performance and fault areas along with specifying what and how to collect the information from a hardware and software perspective. I was also involved with applications design for collecting Intellectual Capital from Cisco's Engineers and converting that knowledge into Business Logic (rules).
