Install and manage 8 separate Gigabit/10-Gigabit Ethernet Networks for Internet access, SAN metadata, Autodesk Lustre, Flame, Smoke and DaVinci Revivals/Resolves, Clipster along with background rendering to render nodes.Wrote BASH shell scripts to automate archiving of data to LTO 60 slot 4 drive tape library to allow non-command line experienced persons to copy and paste source/destination information as answers to questions that the BASH shell scripts requests as input variables in order to execute a TAR backup of data in TAR per file format.

Provided engineering support for five locations of Cablevision's News 12 Traffic and Weather Channel (channel 61) located in Woodbury, LI, with remote locations in Bronx, Westchester (Hudson Valley), Connecticut, and New Jersey. Supported live on air 24/7/365 cable channel with live local traffic and weather reports on Cablevision's cable system, as well as News12 Websites.

Freelance engineer for various small boutique post facilities requiring my expertise with Discreet Flame, Inferno, Smoke, Maya, etc.Moved and installed several Flame and Smoke systems for a client who acquired systems at a post house assets auction.Provided routine maintenance of several types of Macs, PC's, and VTR's.

Installed, configured and expanded small boutique post house with one Inferno and a Flame, along with four Avids, to include four SGI Tezro Flame/Smoke systems as well as a Backdraft station and an Avid Adrenaline and Avid Pro Tools Audio mixing suite.

Relocated and installed and maintained Discreet and CGI systems from the Tape House Companies in to the SMA video facility which Post Works New York purchased along with all the Tape House assets. Changed job due to Post Works decision to sell off all Discreet and CGI systems.

Consolidated all Tape House Digital/Black Logic equipment from 46 street location into existing Tape House Editorial space located on 45 street in order to house all suites in one location.After consolidation, I intended to redesign and re-wire all patchbays with a new routing system, however, the Tape House and all its assets were acquired by Post Works New York in May 2003 and thus all Tape House equipment was merged with SMA Video equipment at SMA facility, also acquired by Post Works New York.

Transferred from Tape House to new company acquisition of French Post House Digital Post Facility consisted of a Grass Valley Kadenza with three channels of K-scope and two switcher channels and one Quantel Harry, three D1 DVR-1000's, Type C, a Betacam SP VTR and four 3/4 inch; U-matic VCR's.Integrated and installed 7 level Grass Valley routing system with 64x64 matrices. Installed, configured and maintained additional equipment over my ten years working here, which included three D1 DVR-2100's, one Ampex DCT, two Digital Betcam and one Sony D2 VTR. Major system additions included two Onyx Discreet Flames (upgraded to Inferno), two Onyx2 Discreet Inferno systems, a Flint and Flint RT system as well as a CGI department consisting of three SGI Octanes and ten PC's running Softimage, XSI, Maya, Shake, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.Within ten years of work, added equipment in to thirty-two empty racks which were installed at time of post house construction in 1989.

Started work at Tape House Editorial and worked there for four years designing and installing new equipment; routers, patchbays and performed maintenance on 3/4" U-matic, 1" Type C, Betacam and Betacam SP VTR's, along with routine preventative maintenance of D1, D2, DCT and D5/HD D5 VTR's, along with supporting three Rank telecine suites.
