In the year 2016, I helped in establishing the Oloidien Estate and Engineering Co. LTD, under which I have been in charge of a number of projects that involved planning, scheduling, budgeting & liaising with clients. I have been involved in a wide range of Engineering projects right from initial stages to execution; these are majorly Geothermal projects. Below is a summary of experience gained and projects that I have been responsible for: -  Construction/fabrication of 700 meter 30” steam line at Or Power 4 Geothermal Power Plant for Well Pad K to the new Plant (OEC 7). It also included lagging and insulation, testing and commissioning.  Conversion from single header to double header for Well K1 at Or Power Geothermal Power Plant. This project included an extension of 30meter, 30” line which joined the existing steam pipeline.  Supervised the installation of Fire Suppression system for Or Power 4 Geothermal Plant (OEC 7). The project involved testing and commissioning. Modification of the preheating system (7 units) for Plant 2 and 3 at Or Power 4 Power plants. The project involved modification of the existing piping system, additional seven preheaters and Insulation & cladding.  In charge of Electrical and Instrumentation during the construction phase of Or Power Power plant (OEC 7). The project involved the installation of all Instrumentation equipment’s, cabling works, testing and commissioning. In charge of the day to day operations and maintenance of the Geothermal Power stations and Geothermal Green House heating system at Oserian.

Duties and responsibilities Plan, organize, coordinate and control for resources both human and otherwise. In charge of geothermal heating to achieve optimum humidity/ temperatures during cold hours especially at night to improve productivity and quality of flowers. Budget preparation and management for the division. Fertigation system controls for the flowers in the green houses through state of the art Priva software. Carbon dioxide production from the two phase geothermal fluid and utilization of the same in the green houses to achieve optimum productivity. Planning and ensuring proper maintenance procedures/ activities for all equipments/ machines under geothermal department.

 Coordinated the installation and commissioning of 1.42Mw geothermal back pressure power Plant. Responsible for the Project Planning, Scheduling, Budgeting & liaising with client and consultants. The project involved the following:-• Installation and commissioning of all electrical systems for Power Plant auxiliaries.• Installation and commissioning of all Instrumentation and other associated system for the Power plant.• Installation of 30ton geothermal Steam Separator.• Installation/fabrication of an 18” steam pipeline (600meter) from the separator to the Power Plant. • Installation/fabrication of a 1km 8” brine reinjection system. • Installation of 50ton capacity steam venting system.• Turbine/Generator Installation and alignment.  Manages the day to day operations and maintenance of Power plant. Installation/fabrication of a 2km, 8” brine re injection pipe line from the Binary Power plant.

 Involved in the installation and commissioning of a 1.8Mw Geothermal Binary Power plant. My roles included the following: -• Supervision, testing and commissioning of Electrical equipment’s for Power plant auxiliaries and BOP.• Supervision, testing and commissioning of Instruments for Power plant and BOP.Developed the maintenance plans for all electrical and Instrumentation equipment’s

 Configuration and use of Variable Speed Drives (V.S.D) in Motor speed controls. Experience in D.C.S (Distributed Control System) employing redundancy mode of connection and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems to monitor and control Plant Process. Maintenance of Fire tube biogas boilers Instrumentation employing E.T.C 3000 microprocessor based controller to achieve required pressures. Maintenance of internal telephone extension lines employing Alcatel P.A.B.X (Private Automatic Branch Exchange). Configuration of Electronic Transmitters (Pressure, Flow, Level and Temperature) using HART Communicator. Experience in Process controls and controller tuning i.e. application of P.I.D parameters and their effects in process control loops. Programmable logic controllers (P.L.C) installation, programming, commissioning and trouble shooting. Instrumentation circuits and controls for pressure, flow, temperature and level loops. Maintenance of Electric Motors, Motor Control Centers (MCC) panel circuits and 415 Volts switchboards. Electro- mechanical system control like relays, contactors and circuit breakers (CBs).  Plans maintenance schedules as per the requirement of the Plant.

Position: Instrument/Electrical Technician Company: Sony Sugar Co. LTD Microprocessor based controls i.e. use of Programmable logic controllers (P.L.C) to maintain the process at the required set points. Final Control Elements i.e. Auto control valves, Current to pressure (I/P) converters, Valve positioners etc. Safeguarding systems for high pressure water tube Boilers and controls for the same using Cascades and feedback modes of control. Quality measuring instruments i.e. Fire detectors, Combustible Gas detectors etc. General trouble shooting of a process control loop from transducers to final control elements. Programming of controllers i.e. assigning the required blocks in single loops and cascaded systems and designing their tuning parameters. Calibration and servicing of electronic Pressure, Flow, Level and Temperature transmitters using Hand Held Communicators (HHT). Maintenance of Analytical Lab Instruments i.e. P.H meters, Brix meters, T.D.S meters etc. Experience on Trend recorders and Indicators. Maintenance of Weigh scales and Weighbridge platforms. General maintenance and calibration of Pressure gauges and Pressure switches using Dead Weight Testers, calibration of Temperature switches and Temperature gauges using Thermostatic Bath. Maintenance of Pneumatic controllers and Pneumatic transmitters. Maintenance of Induction Motors, methods of starting i.e. Star delta and Direct on line (D.O.L) and wiring of the same. Experience in General electrical installation and maintenance of the same.
