As the Continuous Improvement Manager at Lear, I focus on operations performance that constantly strives to eliminate waste, improve productivity, and improve quality performance via the use of Lean tools and continuous improvement methodologies. Facilitate and drive changes in a fast paced and ever changing manufacturing environment. Partner with functional leaders in the plant to assess current processes and identify process improvement opportunities. Manage a robust review process for selecting, scoping and prioritizing Lean initiatives. Facilitate Lean Kaizen events, building and implementing plant level improvement plans, directly providing hands on leadership of key projects and teams for continuous improvement. Managed all aspects of the Plant’s Production operation that consisting of two Superintendents, twelve Supervisors and over 500 hourly employees ensuring that all assembly processes were carried out in a timely and efficient manner to meet customer demands without interruptions. Developed and implemented new ideas, processes and changes that would improve production efficiency and product quality. Approved and maintaining the Production department budget spending and keep it below the monthly budget forecasts.

Arlington, Texas

Managed and supervised up 10 Production Supervisors and over 80 hourly employees in the total manufacturing of interior seats systems for GM. Oversee all operational matter and interact with the customer to address any concerns for the Plant during 2nd shift operations. Planned and coordinated the training for both hourly employees and Supervisors.

Wayne, Michigan

Supervised 18 individuals in the preparation and priming of Ford F-Series trucks and Expeditions using prime spray automation systems, manual spray equipment and sanding tools in the Paint Department. Performed hourly computer inputs of production and downtime reports using Ford Factor Reporting System. Conducted daily reports of time for employee hours to be paid. Prepared and maintained daily and weekly cost reports and statistics for upper management. Developed and implemented plans to improve Production, Quality, Cost and Safety within each production zone.

Fort Riley, Kansas

Managed and supervised up to 20 individuals in the installation, operation, and maintenance of automation and Communications systems using GTE cellular phone systems that supported tactical, strategic, and base Operations. Advised senior level managers and their staffs on the capabilities, limitations and employment of all tactical communication assets available to the command. Correctly diagnosed equipment faults and either repaired them or arranged for more technical repair. Counseled personnel on job performance and career development. Wrote formal evaluations of team supervisors.

Fort Riley, Kansas

Directed the tactical operation of a tank platoon in a field environment. Supervised and trained 16 individuals equipped with four tanks. Conducted the planning and coordination of individual and collective training. Evaluated intelligence, estimated situations, formulated courses of action, made decisions and coordinated operations of platoon with other units. Designated each tank crew defensive position and directed the engineering of the position.
