I am a social entrepreneur with a training background in business administration, social and political sciences.I have fifteen (15) years experience in youth development with competencies in engineering community solutions for underprivileged communities including persons with disabilities.A continued interest in disability rights now stands at seventeen (17) years fighting injustices and discrimination facing persons with disabilities in the society.I have founded two social organizations that advance my aspirations both in youth development sector and disability.I am currently a program officer for disability rights at Open Society Initiative for Eastern Africa (OSIEA) and formerly an inclusion advisor at Light for the World and the executive director of Action Network for the Disabled and an advisor to Disability Rights Fund,Global Disability Rights Library and a board member of Little Rock Inclusive ECD center.I am interested in a world where everyone has an equal opportunity as a human being thus my commitment to advancement of the rights of persons with disabilities.I was elected an Ashoka fellow in 2012 for my work around disability and employment in Kenya and currently a Senior Atlantic Fellow for Social and Economic Equity.Specialities: Non-profits,youth development,strategic planning,disability rights,training and grassroot mobilization
