Empig AS aims to reduce both the environmental footprint and TOTEX in the Offshore O&G industry. This is important while waiting for the Clean Energy Revolution.Several expensive, complicated and resource intensive methods are used today to ensure high production flow form subsea fields transported in subsea pipes. Heating cables, antifreeze chemicals and dedicated injection piping, thick polymer pipe insulation, redundant production piping for miles, hot oil flushing, down-time and topside chemical processing (to name a few) represent about 30-50% of the cost (CAPEX and OPEX) for any subsea O&G field. The vast use of valuable resources is also a substantial environmental challenge for the industry. By working with the physical principles and not against them, Empig is able to achieve better flow assurance with lower costs and lower environmental impact.
