As CAD engineer I worked mainly with Zuken E3 and AutoCAD LT. E3 is an advanced modular object-based CAD tool built on a device database. An important part of E3 is the VBScript interface which is used for assembling the stored information in various outputs or manipulating the actual design. I am a self-taught VBScripter to create and modify these scripts. To verify my design I also built a Planar4 Logic simulator in LogiSim. This simulator proved to be such a valuable tool that it has been adopted as an official verification tool at Origo Solutions.Found design flaw in 3rd party equipment: HIMA Planar4 62100 Modbus interface.

Abilia manufactures world leading assistance technologies for disabled People, the pride and joy being the Rolltalk with Intelligaze which the user controlls by eye movement tracking. It enables communications by synthesized speech, wheelchair operation and environmental control through iR. My role was to automate the production of MEMOplanner and Rolltalk to reduce operator load, increase quality and detect and handle fault conditions. I also streamlined the hardware production of these units. In addition I generated and maintained the images used in the production. This entails administrator and system level knowledge of Windows OS, Windows PXE and Symantec Ghost image.Internal and external IT technical support.

The role of production engineer entails a high degree of technical responsibilities for customers and their products, production documentation and cost calculations, technical change management, startup of new products and handling of quality issues. I particularly enjoyed streamlining the production systems for manufacturing RF-boosters used in GSM base stations. The customer expected continously increased production efficiency, a task led by me. Trough continously identifying and implementing efficiency increasing measures we as a team reduced the total production time per unit equal to 2 work years with production rate at full pace.
