Fixed Asset Accountant
Current🔹 Serve as Fixed Asset Accountant, overseeing the company’s fixed assets, including an extensive fleet of vehicles as well as property items locations at multiple locations across the US and Canada.• Prepare property roll-forwards for GAAP compliance reports and federal and state-level tax books.• Maintain BNA fixed asset subsystem, including additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation for the booking of monthly general ledger transactions related to all company assets. • Oversee month-end reconciliations, aligning subsystem to Lawson general ledger by company and account. • Review capital purchases for compliance and headed local fixed asset audits at locations across the US.• Develop and review capital expenditure requests (CER’s) for capital and expense purchase authorizations.• Record asset transactions in the fixed asset subsystem and mirror those transactions in journal entries to the general ledger on a monthly basis; maintain between 50 and 100 journals for all fixed asset management.• Assist division office with property scheduling for local taxing authorities.Produce monthly managment property reports, (Both for GAAP and Tax), YTD additions and disposals and Gain / Loss Analysis. And, Ad Hoc reports as required.Manually tie-out BNA sub-system to Lawson general ledger month for GAAP and Tax.
