As a Lite service driver I conducted the necessary tasks needed by the company to render emergency services in a professional and courteous manner. The following are some of the daily tasks performed by me while on shift.1. T1 - tire change2. T1A - tire inflation3. T3 - battery jump4. T3B - battery service ( battery repair, replacement, cleaning, recharging, testing)5. T4/T4D - delivery of fuel to vehicles that have run out of fuelT4 - Gasoline, T4D - Diesel6. T5 - miscellaneous service ( meaning of the member has no idea what's wrong. you have to assess, diagnos, and fix if at all possible)7. T6 - Lockouts. knowing the various dos and don'ts of each modle of vehicle that has keys locked in passenger compartment, trunk, or are simply lost. This was is my speciality.8. T8 - towing calls. On particularly busy days I can sometimes be assigned Tow calls even though I am not qualified to tow. When assigned you must do one of two things A) delay the member and reassure them service will be there soon, or to take a look and see if you can get them going so it frees up a slot for a " righteous tow".9. T8A/T8X - Tow assist or extractions are also a lite service responsibility as many of our members living in the bay area live in condos, complexes, or areas our bigger trucks cannot go but still need to be towed. So with proper equipment the vehicles are pulled by one driver and driven by another to the tow truck.
