Responsible for overseeing the implementation of the organization’s diversity strategic plan and organization-wide initiatives. Develop, implement, manage and evaluate all aspects of this strategy in order to drive organizational performance and improve the environment in which hospital leaders, physicians and staff work. Report to the Vice President of Human Resources. Provide ongoing regular reports to Senior Leadership Team. Partner with Workforce Development and Employment regarding diversity recruitment and retention activities and initiatives. Lead the 32-member Diversity & Inclusion Council and member of each of the 4 subcommittees in the following areas: Human Resources, Education, Communication and Service Expansion.Develop metrics and maintain statistics to monitor effectiveness of projects and notify Leadership to trends and and issues and make recommendations to action.Accomplishments: Trained more than 700 physicians annually through culturally competency education seminar; developed a "How to do Business" Guide publication for the minority business community; successfully prepared senior leadership and staff members for Magnet re-certification (diversity component)
