I am a physician assistant (PA) with 20 years of emergency medicine experience in high volume emergency departments. My clinical experience has been in rural/urban hospitals, trauma centers, community hospitals, and academic hospitals.I have served in multiple leadership positions within my full-time PA position and in non-profit organizations. I have lectured regionally, nationally, and internationally for PA and physician organizations. In addition, I have presented and published research on the emergency medicine PA workforce. One of my biggest passions is planning and coordinating educational activities for the Society of Emergency Medicine PAs. My professional interests include medical education, EMS, wilderness medicine and emergency department operations. When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, dogs, doing anything outside (hiking, skiing, fly fishing, etc.), and chasing airline/hotel status.
