CurrentSTUDIO OPERATIONSEnsure studios and equipment are well maintained and operational at all timesMonitor equipment, software and advise of needed maintenance and upgradesOperate, maintain and safeguard the technical assets of the studios, including supervising use of lighting, sound and studio camerasEnsure equipment and facilities are ready to use before studio productionsLiaison to Engineering and IT staff to ensure proper maintenance and compliance with technical specifications and standardsFacilitate studio productions, including lighting, camera, audio, special effects and timingOperate video switcher, perform live digital effects and transitions, and insert pre-recorded material, graphics and titlesMake reservations with public for use of equipment and facilities using MNN's database. Set protocols and coordinate activities with other staff to achieve highest quality productPRODUCTIONSupervise Production Facilitators, instruct them in procedures for check in/out of field equipment and preparation of packages for producers, inspection and tracking of equipmentOversee Production Facilitators in editing station use: check in/out procedures and troubleshoot of technical problemsEnsure general upkeep, maintenance, cleanliness of edit stations, field equipment, studios and production facilitiesEDUCATIONTeach workshops, classes and seminars as assignedAssist in the creation and development of training curricula and materialsKeep staff up-to-date on new studio technologies and proceduresADMINISTRATIVECreate and update producer records and certificationsRespond to phone and email inquiries and assist with program applicationsEnsure compliance with and implement MNN policies, rules and regulations
