OpenStack is a global collaboration of developers and cloud computing technologists producing the ubiquitous open source cloud computing platform for public and private clouds. The project aims to deliver solutions for all types of clouds by being simple to implement, massively scalable, and feature rich. As an early OpenStack evangelist and practitioner in China, Hui has successfully brought OpenStack technology and experience to Chinese universities, Internet companies and IT giants. Hui was twice elected as one of 8 individual board directors of OpenStack Foundation in the 1st and 2nd individual board election by the global OpenStack community.

As the founder and technical director of Sina IaaS platform, Sina Web Services(SWS), which is OpenStack powered, I built up a powerful team made up of 20 ingenious engineers, now my team has become the most active corporate OpenStack contributor in China. I am mainly focusing on technical direction and architecture design of SWS, as well as being responsible for the product orientation and design. Now SWS is serving most traffic of Weibo game platform, also providing cloud services to the public users. SWS is acknowledged to be the most successful OpenStack public cloud in China.

As a core system developer of Sina App Engine(SAE), Chinese biggest PaaS platform, I was responsible for system development and architecture design of PHP runtime of SAE. Later I built up the DevOps team of SAE, and was appointed as the team leader. Now the PHP runtime has become the most popular platform in China, having more than 300,000 developers who have launched nearly 400,000 apps running on it.
