I've been dabbling in tank container industry since 2008. Start off in ISO tank manufacturing- McAlister Engineering in Malaysia as marketing executive, specialized in lined and coated tanks. During the tenure with McAlister, i established connection from various vendors, lining applicators to end users, namely the high purity chemicals producers for semiconductors Serving the niche tank market given me the opportunity understanding the application of tank containers of respective industry and how economically viable to make it happen. I've seen how Teflon lining was applied in dust free room, why selective cargoes are prone to use rubber lining and how meticulously how spray coated tanks are made of. All these have truly enriched and broadened my horizon in this industry. Additionally, I'm also trained for the marketing of off-shore tank containers, understanding the difference of DNV 2.7-1 and IMDG. Interestingly to know the importance of off-shore tanks in the oil & gas downstream segment. My portfolio has been broaden since joining Stolt Nielsen in 2012. As a technical sales executive in the special tank division, handling various global chemical manufacturers key accounts and business development for special tanks (cryogenic/gas/lined/coated/customized) in Asia. Working closely with internal technical team and also constantly identifying potential dedicated depots for collaboration in order strengthen M&R capability. Meanwhile developing close connection with regional and global service provider, like to lining applicators, cryogenic depots, manufacturer of highly customized tank containers. Moving up to the position of sales manager in 2018, in charge of business development of Indonesia , gaining insight of how the local oleochemicals industries are impacting the global world and tank container as one of the key component to make it work. 12 years stint chemical logistic, especially the special tanks division has taught me a a lot in complex problem solving and project management. Looking forward to move further in this journey.
