Hello fellow professionals! My name is Freeman Poritz and I'm an International Development Professional and English Language Consultant currently based in La Paz, Bolivia. I am currently working as an English Language Specialist in Israel designing a Youth Peace and Leadership curriculum for use in Israeli high school classrooms. From 2022-2024 I was honored to serve as an English Language Fellow at the Institute of Rural Development Planning (IRDP) in Dodoma, Tanzania and at Haramaya University in Eastern Ethiopia. From 2010 - 2017 I worked in humanitarian assistance with USAID in Israel and the Palestinian Territories. After resigning from that position due to a lack of career advancement opportunities I delved into the world of long-term travel and freelance educational consulting. Born and raised in Canada to an American father and a Canadian mother, I spent most of my twenties living and working in the Middle East and most of my thirties in Latin America. I'm a self-described 'minimalist,' an avid sportsman, a recreational writer, and a non-stop explorer. My passions include learning languages and meeting people who hail from different cultures. I can't wait to connect and explore professional opportunities all over the world together through LinkedIn!
