As Australia's first diplomat posted to Bengaluru I led a team that grew from 4 to 11 in under 2 years. During my time I was focused on working with Australian tech start ups looking to approach the Indian market as well as supporting some of India's largest tech companies, as they grew their investment in Australia. My major achievements included:- Implemented the Australia India Innovation Network - an Australian government program of work to generate commercial outcomes for 20 Australian tech start-ups,- Established Austrade Bengaluru office – growing team from 4 to 11,- Provided strategic advice to more than 100 businesses, generating commercial outcomes more than 50 businesses,- Delivered Australia’s country participation at Bengaluru Tech Summit 2022 – producing outcomes for 8 Government agencies & 30 private entities.

I sit on the Academic Advisory Board for the Academy for Workplace Excellence to offer my insight and input into the creation of the institute and its courses. My position covers ensuring relevant FM industry needs are addressed in the courses and their content, whilst also providing input on the approach to market strategy, based on my previous experience of operating institutes in India.

ATALIAN Global Services has more than 75 years of experience in the Facility Management sector, around the world. ATALIAN is a leader in the sector, with more than 33,000 customers across the globe and an annual turnover that exceeds $4 billion USD. ATALIAN provides services to private and public companies, operating in a variety of different environments.My major achievements while working with ATALIAN were:- Successfully launched JV entity across 15 states of India,- Grew operations from 1 to 900 staff in 18 months,- Implemented 600+ manpower contract across 15 Indian states,- Grew annual turnover from zero to over INR 180 million in the first 18 months,- Delivered 18 consecutive months of positive EBITDA from Day 1 of operations,- Closed large deals with JLL, Nokia, UBS & other multinational companies,- Led the implementation of regional IT systems.I was initially hired as the Sales Director (India) and was subsequently promoted to Managing Director (India) and finally Regional Director of Business Development (India, Myanmar & Vietnam).

Starting work with First Impressions in Brisbane, I moved to Hyderabad, India in Jan 2014 to manage their Indian subsidiaries:- Australian Retail College: Vocational training organisation focussed on the delivery of Government funded training to rural and urban poor populations- Queensland Skills & Education Consortium: A group of high-performance institutes, based in QLD, Australia who have joined forces to deliver high-quality education across VET & Higher Ed. - First Impressions Resources India: Vocational training consultancy business, working with Government and private sector training organisations to build capacity in the Indian VET ecosystem. My major achievements included: - Set up and ran organisation that trained over 2,000 students on India Govt funded training programs,- Successfully negotiated and implemented 15 Govt contracts,- Secured deals to expand operations to 16 states in India,- Created reporting mechanism to ensure accountability of Indian operations to Australian Board/partners,- Implemented IT system for accountable data collection of student enrolments across a dozen sites, - Conceptualised and implemented business models for 5 Australian Institutes, enabling market entry with reduced financial and operational risks in a complex market.

I established my own consultancy, providing marketing and design services to small businesses.During this time I worked with clients across education, technology, fitness and fundraising sectors.My major achievements included:- Delivered successful launch of client rebranding, including strategy, website and collateral development, and roll-out,- Created consistent branding and collateral for 5 clients to build customer base,- Created marketing videos for charity to boost fundraising, - Grew gym membership through mail out marketing campaign,- Developed and implemented clients’ marketing strategies,- Advised client on the design of their franchise business model.

Bay Technologies is a supplier and developer of Commercial Off The Shelf software solutions for government agencies.My major achievements included:- Increased customer base from 10 to 28 organisations, - Independently managed territory sales across 3 States,- Delivered successful relaunch of corporate branding strategy,- Developed and ran Community of Practice website for clients,- Created repository of information to reduce time spent responding to EOI/RFPs, - Launched and maintained weekly industry news mailout,- Worked with clients to develop and launch new products,- Delivered annual national client conferences.
