Security Engineer/Technical Project ManagerWorking for one of Australia’s largest mortgage aggregators, my role as Security Engineer was to prepare the business for new data breach laws being introduced in February 2018Key Achievements• Managed the Penetration testing of the Connective network environment and insured that all vulnerabilities we rectified. This included, but was not limited to, the following actions.o Decommissioned usage of SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0 and TLS 1.0 on all external facing servers in the Connective environment. Where this was not possible (where mission critical applications REQUIRED SSL 3.0) we used KEMP technologies to act as a virtual server to receive traffic for the servers in question o Removed vulnerable ciphers used in the environment and limited all TLS communication to only use the most hardened of cipherso Removed vulnerabilities to a number of potential attacks, including Drown, Beast and Poodle attackso Secured IIS and Apache platformso Installed updated certificates where required• Secured the internal networko Deployed organizational and operational changes to minimize the potential of internal breaches.
