Tim started his legal career in 1986, in the Dallas office of Andrews & Kurth, L.L.P. He specialized in savings and loan litigation, securities litigation, and other complex commercial disputes. In 1992, he joined the Dallas office and was a partner of Scott, Douglass & Luton, L.L.P. In 1994, Tim co-founded Capshaw, Goss & Bowers. In April 2007, Tim and Richard Freese formed Freese & Goss, P.L.L.C.Over the past 15 years, Tim has specialized in pharmaceutical litigation. He has practiced mass tort cases on behalf of thousands of victims of wrongful practices by pharmaceutical companies that have manufactured or distributed dangerous drugs. He has collected recoveries for his clients totaling over $100 million over the past 3 years in litigation involving the drugs Vioxx, Zyprexa, Seroquel, Avandia, Bextra, Celebrex, Rezulin, and Lotronex. Tim is currently pursuing cases related to the drugs Actos, Reglan, Paxil, Accutane, Celexa, Zoloft, Prozac, Topamax and medical devices made by DePuy and Zimmer.Throughout his career, Tim has also specialized in consumer class actions, especially in abusive mortgage lending cases. Tim has been appointed class counsel in dozens of nationwide class actions. As a direct result of his efforts, the United States Congress passed private mortgage insurance legislation, which resulted in mandated cancellation of hundreds of thousands of mortgage insurance policies. The passage of the legislation resulted in several billions of dollars of savings for homeowners nationwide. Tim recently pursued a large collection agency and obtained a million dollar class action recovery for the benefit of the Attorneys General for 5 states.Mr. Goss has consistently received an AV® rating from Martindale-Hubbel®, which signifies the highest rating in legal ability and ethical standards.
