I taught English at two Elementary Schools in France. I had a total of 7 classes and about 130 students. My job mainly focused on pronunciation, but sometimes I worked briefly with reading and writing. It was my responsibility to plan the lessons, which included finding activities and, in most cases, choosing the subject matter. However, in one class I was given an official teacher's manual. Classes were between 30-45 minutes, depending on the grade level, of which I taught the equivalent of 2nd-5th grades. Because of this job, I have experience planning lessons, conducting classes, working with other teachers, creating tests, and grading tests/homework. Being in France has given me experience with the French school system, culture, people, bureaucracy, daily life, and of course, the language.

Albuquerque, New Mexico Area

My job was to make calls and answer incoming calls to collect on debt from personal loans and revolving lines of credit. I had to decide on the best solution for the client based on their situation and account type if they were having trouble making payments. It was necessary to have good customer service skills in order to assist people in a friendly, understanding manner. I had to learn the computer system that was used and I am a fast learner. It was my responsibility to make any changes to the account and note the account quickly and accurately based on the conversation. I had to process payments on the phone when the client was able.

Albuquerque, New Mexico Area

I had three positions during my career at Chili's: Quality Assurance, Waitress and Cook. As Quality Assurance it was my job to make sure each table's food was sent out quickly and correctly. I was a liaison between the cooks and the servers, which required good communication skills. I also had to have good organizational skills when preparing multiple orders. I also answered the phone and processed take home orders, including processing payments.As a cook I prepared food for a specific station, which also involved organizational skills in cooking several orders at once and making sure they were ready in a timely manner.
