Preventative and corrective maintenance on all processing and support epuipment in the Diffusion/CVD area. Develop and implement equipment and recipe modifications to improve equipment performance. Respond to equipment level SPC alerts (Jon Goldman Associates) as well as process SPC violations. Started up a 200mm wafer line. Equipment list includes Thermco TMX, Semitherm VTR, Kokusai BTI Apogee/Vertron, Akrion (Submicron Systems), CFM, Semitool, SEZ, Kensort, Gasonics HIPOX, Bold Technologies.

Added responsibilities included establishing priorities and delegating technicians to meet the demanding needs of NSTE production wafer fabs. Writing and delivering Performance Reviews. Edit preventative maintenance procedures in equipment specifications to improve equipment performance.

Supported the Implant/Thinfilms area which later expanded to include the Diffusion/CVD area. Worked on equipment installations and startup of Fab II. Equipment included, Eaton 10-160s, NV6200s, Varian 3280 and 3290s, Thermco furnaces, Bruce furnaces, Applied Materials 5000 PECVD, Novellus Concept 1, Applied Materials Centura EPI.

As part of the R&D team, I obtained good experience with all types of wafer fab equipment, including plasma etchers, ion implanters, deposition tools, and support equipment. I learned vacuum technology and practical troubleshooting skills.
