I have extensive experience in sourcing, contract negotiation, demand planning and inventory management. As the Purchasing Manager in an Apple Premium Reseller, I had negotiated the launch of several major brands that I developed to become leading performers; for example managing the introduction of one brand in 2013 increased the Gross Profit of that category by 40% in year 1 and 75% in year 2. I introduced smarter operation models to increase efficiency and mitigate risk through the use of FileMaker Pro (inventory database) and Excel (peak demand planning spreadsheet).My move into purchasing at Solutions inc Ltd began with me creating and managing the ongoing contract of a third Party Installation Service which provided us a cost effective installation service with a national reach that was required by our Local Authority customers. From there I supported the Operations Director in his procurement role by dealing with Purchase Order administration. As the company quickly grew from one retail outlet to six my role expanded to become Purchasing Manager responsible for the sourcing, procurement and management of all accessory brands, inventory, and subsequent supplier relations to support the Apple range in-store.I have always worked hard to build and maintain strong, reliable relations with supplier as well as analysing their performance. This provided me with the opportunity to reduce average lead times with one distribution partner from 14 to 8 days through agreement to improve systems on both sides. And I continually looked to improve processes in place to look for efficiency improvements within my role, such as the Excel template I developed as a forecasting tool that allowed analysis of previous uplift in sales to aid my decisions on inventory stock plans for seasonal peaks.Now, onto Westcoast Ltd!
