I am currently undergoing a placement with the Human Resources department of NHS Manchester University Foundation Trust. I shadow and complete work for the HR manager. Work completed includes: reading all the policies, various admin tasks such as emails, filing of cases and hearings for the panel and boards, writing up manager decorate notes and changing power point for relevant staff training. In addition, I have shadowed budget meetings across many departments, took part in a return to work training session, attended sickness absence meeting drop in with many different wards. Also, shadowed a meeting with consultants, decorate managers, doctors and nurses of what the current problems are in relation to staff well-being and how this needs addressing. As well as this, I have attended the HR department weekly team meeting to discuss all current matter and what needs addressing.
