I worked on average 3 nights a week during my gap year at this pub, currently I work during the holiday periods when I am not studying. This role involves working in a loud bustling environment in stressful conditions whilst regularly meeting customer needs and communicating efficiently with colleagues. I am regularly the most experienced bar tender on shift and have previously been in charge of training new individuals for roles similar to mine. This role has drastically developed many of my skills aswell as boosting my confidence due to developed social skills and increased physical interactions with customers.

This role required me to advise and direct 4 customer hosts 4 days a week in White Stuff Farnham. Opening and closing the shop, handling and balancing the cash floats, managing the team and ensuring every customers need was successfully met are all key factors of this job. I was taught how to visually merchandise the shop interior and window-dressings and became competent in using the EPOS systems to track budgets, handle stock counts and carry out daily card transactions.
