Freya Qin is a toy designer and freelance illustrator who loves drawing animals and character designs. Freya also excels at many types of software including Adobe and 3D modeling programs, such as Photoshop and Rhino. In addition, she is passionate about prototyping and drawing. She also has work experience in the areas of plush design and toy invention. Freya is also a valued Teaching Assistant in the Toy Design Department at Otis College of Art & Design. As a senior student, Freya helps students across the toy department build their portfolios, promo sheets and resumes. Her work experience outside of school has been extensive. Working at world class companies like Aurora World Inc. and the Fuse Design Group in London have given her a one-of-a-kind set of work experiences. As a result, Freya has developed into a designer who understands multiple toy categories including plush toys, boys and girls toys, playsets and preschool toys. Freya also works as a freelance illustrator, working on fashion dolls and collectable toys as well. She was a 2023 WiT Scholarship recipient and attended the Wonder Women event held in New York City during the American International Toy Fair. Well versed in both Chinese and American cultures, Freya has lived all over the world in a variety of exciting places such as London, Los Angeles and Shanghai.
