Managing employees, to ensure the smooth day to day running of the centre, this includes managing staff to ensure all classes are covered or cancelled, and under performance or malpractice reported and dealt with in a timely and professional manner. Responsibilities include training lifeguards and senior lifeguards, to the standards set out by the council, to ensure that safety of customers and colleagues are maintained. Solved problems presented to me, to maintain cohesive functioning of the centre, as well as resolving customer complaints, to make sure that targets are met.Ensure the safety of customers and colleagues, including being the first responder to emergency situations and administering first aid. In addition, managing emergency situations and coordinating the team response to ensure the best outcome for the person(s) involved. Responsibilities include the measuring and monitoring of pool chemical levels when on shift, if these go above or below the acceptable limits, specialist staff are notified.

I am responsible for planning a full session, which is appropriate to the ability of the swimmers in the class, according to the Swim England syllabus, aiming to progress students from session to session, identifying all different abilities and ways of improving techniques.Ensuring the safety of all swimmers under my supervision, according to health and safety standards, as set out under New Forest District Council's Health and Safety Regulations. Registering, monitoring and assessing swimmers, using software and processes set out by the leisure centre.Establishing an excellent rapport with each swimmer in my care, maintaining a high standard of customer care, as well as a positive and professional approach with all customers and colleagues, especially when communicating with parents who wish to know the progress of their child.

As a lifeguard I have numerous responsibilities, including the maintenance of my National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (accredited by the Royal Lifesaving Society UK), which involves ongoing training, such as CPR, first aid and lifeguarding skills.The main purpose of the role is to ensure the safety, welfare and enjoyment of all customers by adhering to strict regulations such as the Safe Systems of Work, Dry Side Operating Procedures, Normal Operating Procedures, Emergency Action Plan, as well as COSHH. The role also entailed assisting with reception and handling money, as well as making bookings using the centre specific software, and dealing with customer complaints in a professional manner.
