In this role, I oversee & support the work of the Students' Union's Representation Team. Responsibilities of the team include:- Facilitating academic representation at the LSE through the training & support of student academic representatives, and the delivery of wider academic representation processes- Developing our support offer to student-led campaign groups, providing 1-2-1 advice & guidance on campaign strategies and tactics, alongside providing logistical support and resources- Supporting elected Part-Time and Sabbatical Officers, providing training and ongoing support on various projects & campaigns throughout the year- Leading on the organisation's policy & research work - undertaking research on topics facing LSE students, and providing briefings on LSE committees for student representatives- Leading & delivering the Students' Union's democratic processes, including our elections and Student Members' Meetings.

Led on coordinating many of the Students' Union's democratic processes while studying part-time for an MA in Political Communcation. I organised our member-led decision making processes, supported Officer accountability processes, and led on elections project work.

As the Democracy and Campaigns Coordinator, I supported the delivery of the Students' Unions democratic processes, engaging students in our decision-making processes. I also coordinated several student-led projects throughout the year, and organised our AGM.

In this role I represented around 32,000 students at the University of Leeds on both a local and national scale. As the Welfare Officer, I worked to improve the general wellbeing of students, focused on areas such as mental health and finance, and worked to protect the welfare of marginalised groups.In this role, I worked with students and staff at the University to encourage students to become active participants in their education. I also worked with stakeholders outside of the University such as NHS professionals and local charities. In the role, I worked on a number of campaigns such as a drive to collect tampons and sanitary towels to donate to local charities, and worked on improving student voter registration.

I managed one of the largest Labour Students groups in the country. In this time, we ran campaigns on campus and in the local area with other groups. My role involved delegating work to my fellow committee members and making sure that the society worked efficiently as a whole. It also meant that I communicated with a lot of students and other members of the local community on a regular basis.
