In 2014, SESOBEL assisted 838 children & youth (with physical and/or mental disabilities, and autism).We also strive to meet the complex needs of the children with Autism & their families. While there is no cure for Autism, early intervention is critical and can greatly improve a child’s development.In 1981, SESOBEL creates the early intervention program for children ages 1-5 years old with any kind of disability, including autism.In 1989, SESOBEL creates the first specialized program for children and youth with autism.Unfortunately, we have now reached the maximum capacity in our current building (the present SESOBEL Autism Center hosts around 75 children and youths with autism), thus hindering the proper implementation of our assistance program. Therefore, we urgently started building our new & better adapted Autism Center, and for that we need all the help we can get.
