About Frida Leon Olmedo

Hello there! I’m a recent graduate in Biomedical Engineering (BMEN). My interest for this field stemmed from learning about the vast shortage of organ donors worldwide, which continues to be one of the many pressing issues in the healthcare sector. When I learned that biomedical engineers were responsible for working alongside others in order to develop novel solutions that could ultimately address problems such as these, I could not see myself doing anything else.Above all, I want to partake in projects that align with my goal for optimizing existing technologies to improve public health and wellbeing. I believe that working in the Medical Device industry is an excellent opportunity to engage my experience in research, prototype development and product testing, all of which I have gained through my participation in distinct undergraduate projects. As I continue my preparation as an incoming Master of Engineering student, I would like to participate in the development of cost-effective solutions to the existing healthcare challenges and experience firsthand distinct stages in the design process of medical devices.Design skills: SolidWorks, SolderingAnalytical skills: MATLAB, Minitab, LabVIEW, ImageJ, SlideBook
