Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations, liaising with the outsourced service providers in India, centralised accounting functions in Hungary and local Nokia teams in the UK and Ireland. Analysing the balances to ensure accounting was complete, accurate and valid.Initiated changes in procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.• Key contact for the external audit of all operational legal entities in the UK and Ireland. Supporting the Auditor’s requests by providing appropriate information in a timely mannerand explaining Nokia’s processes and controls. Liaison between the Auditor and various finance organisations within the Nokia Group.• Processing payroll journals with ~7000 lines. Reconciliation of payroll balance sheet accounts which required close liasion with the external payroll provider to ensure reconciling items were cleared correctly and timely.• Preparing and processing monthly journal entries in SAP, including accruals, prepayments, and internal allocations.• Responsible for local treasury activity including the input of manual payments in the on-line banking system. Responsible for the maintenance of the cash books and accurate allocation of outgoing payments.• Preparing and issuing internal invoices for expat cost recharges in the internal invoicing tool.

• Processing ~50 employees expense claims per day in SAP. Checking adherence of claims against Nokia’s Global Policy• Liaising with Nokia UK employees to resolve queries on their expenses.• Preparing monthly analysis of relevant expenses for P11D reporting• Supporting the centralised Accounts Payable team in Hungary with local issues regarding UK and Ireland invoices, statements and correspondence from suppliers.

• Processing over a hundred invoices per day in accordance with the prescribed process and service levels for the UK and Ireland.• Regularly following-up quality controls set for source data and deliverables. Initiating corrective actions were necessary.• Contacting both external and internal 'customers' to clarify and resolve open issues.• Participating in accounts payable change projects.• Ensuring compliance with SOX requirements.• Issue resolution and follow-up deviations on balance sheet accounts.• Preparing monthly reports and presenting to management.• Performing month-end closing activities for five company codes.
