Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) is the principal Government agency tasked with the collection, compilation, analysis, publication, and dissemination of official statistical information and its custody. The corporate body also coordinates, supervises and develops programs within the National Statistical System.Role & Responsibilities:- Assisting in the development and review of data collection tools- Collecting, collating, compiling, analyzing, validating and reviewing disaggregated data.- Compile, record, and code information derived from specified forms into a predefined database- Audit data for accuracy and completeness- Following up on data requests from data producers and responding to data users' requests

The 2019 Census was the 8th in Kenya and the first paperless, where Mobile technology was used during mapping and enumeration, in adherence to the UN recommendations for the 2020 round of censuses on adoption of use of technology.Roles and Responsibilities:- Identifying boundaries for the Enumeration Areas (EAs), locating all structures and visiting every household to list all the usual members in the EA assigned to them before the enumeration exercise.- Visiting citizens at their homes to conduct interviews and collect demographic data- Obtaining complete and accurate answers and capturing them correctly during the enumeration exercise- Creating survey sheets or working on predefined surveys to gather census information- Forwarding all equipment and questionnaires (used and unused), maps, notebooks and any other materials as directed to the Content Supervisor after the enumeration exercise- Conducting extensive and thorough visual surveys of areas covered during the census procedure

The MSMEs Survey is aimed at collecting data to provide insightful and useful insights for systematic approach to reviewing policies and designing strategic plans for the development of the MSME sector in Kenya. It’s also a great resource to a variety of other stakeholders including development partners, MSME support institutions, financial institutions, consulting firms, education and research institutions.Roles and Responsibilities: - Managing a group of five KNBS enumerators – Keeping a register of Enumerators who are assigned to work under me.- Ensuring that all materials and equipment required (mobile devices and accessories) for training for the Enumerators and enumeration areas under their supervision area are in place.- Assigning enumeration areas to the Enumerators under their supervision.- Liaising with the Village Elder, Assistant Chief or Chief to identify all the special population groups, i.e. in institutions, hotels/lodges, travelers, out-door sleepers, among others in the supervision area.- Ensuring that everybody in the supervision area has been enumerated.
