As Avanza grew, we reorganized our customer-facing teams into Product teams and Customer Journey teams. I took on the role of Product Manager for "Team Aktivera," responsible for making the customer onboarding process as simple and pleasant as possible across all channels, ensuring customers were effectively engaged in their early stages. During this time, I built a strong team, utilizing methods like Lean UX and Product Discovery to quickly understand customer behavior and better meet their needs. During this period, Avanza doubled its customer base, and we successfully onboarded nearly one million customers.

When we first started, the mobile apps had very low usage, and there were doubts about whether complex financial services could be effectively delivered through an app. After relaunching both the iOS and Android apps, they quickly became the primary channels for Avanza’s users within just a few years. Using an MVP approach, we prioritized essential features and gradually expanded the target audience to cater to both stock-savvy users and those focused on secure, long-term savings.
