The office constitutes an inhouse consulting function for talent management and recruitment of Heads of Agencies and Agency boards appointed by the Government. We also provide support and advice on employment matters for Heads of Agencies.

Responsible for training of the Government offices top executives, including introductory programs, design of leadership training programs and workshops, individual evaluation and competence development activities. In parallel to this I had the strategic responsibility for recruitment processes in the Government offices which involved developing guidelines, support systems, training etc.

Responsible for the board nomination process for the state owned companies in Sweden.The Swedish Government Offices manage 49 state owned companies that represents a value of around SEK 460 bn and employ more than 160,000 people. Amongst these companies are TeliaSonera, Nordea, PostNord, SBAB and LKAB. The Government’s overarching objective is to create shareholder value and, where applicable, comply with special societal interests. - 400 board members. 50 to 60 board members are on average replaced each year- Research, interviewing, reference checking of a large number of potential board members. - Responsible for shareholder's board evaluation process.- Project management of large events such as educational seminars to further board work competence and build a strong network among directors. - Responsible for the board compensation process; benchmarking, analysis and proposal - Regular reporting to the Minister for Financial Markets, Peter Norman, and previously to the Deputy Prime Minister, Maud Olofsson, and their political appointees.- Closely involved in internal recruitment processes for the Division for State Enterprises. - External communication of the board nomination process; the outcome of the nomination process is closely monitored by the Swedish press.- Corporate governance: developing policies and guidelines for the state owned enterprises.- Member of the Swedish jury appointing Chairman of the Year in the Nordic countries; http://www.styreinfo.no/sverige.87070.no.html- Regular spokesperson at external events, spreading knowledge about the governance model and board nomination process of state-owned companies.Achievements:- Dramatically improved satisfaction of board nomination process.- Managed the exchange of around 50 board members yearly (more than 100 after election in 2006)- Increased the number of women on boards and the number of female chairmen - Increased ethnic diversity on the boards.
