Teaching has been a gift -- every day I grow along with my students. My foremost goal is to provide the tools to guarantee success for every one of my students. Each child is an achiever. Children in my class have opportunities to express themselves as writers, environmentalists, scientists, artists, historians and anthropologists. I firmly believe all students can succeed and grow more confident in school, and as an educator, is my sole responsibility to reach each student at his or her level. I allow classroom learners multiple opportunities to investigate and reflect on experiences. I am a great believer in the outdoor classroom and I use the natural world as a core part of my teaching. I am a Board Member of Yolo Farm to Fork, a certified California Naturalist, and have a Master's im Education from UC Davis.
