In 2019, I was elected as Vice President for one of the biggest political youth organizations in Europe (formerly known as ECOSY), where I represented more than 50 social democratic youth organizations and over 100,000 activists across Europe. In my role, I was responsible for all matters related to our organisation's strategy and its policy efforts on economic and social affairs. I have had several meetings with MEPs and an EU Commissioner, where I effectively conveyed our perspective to policymakers. I was also a member of the Party of European Socialists Social Affairs network and the Council of Members at the European Youth Forum. In addition, I organised several policy discussions and participated as speaker at various events.

Electica is a political consultancy start-up that operates at the intersection of technology and politics. It provides strategic advice to pro-European progressive parties and created a new programmatic advertising platform that will significantly impact parties' outreach in the digital sphere. For Electica, I worked under direct guidance of the founders on their market-entry strategy during their first year in operation. I obtained a diverse set of data on political digital spending in Europe and transformed this into a model that can be used for their growth strategy in the future.

In 2018, I was elected as the International Secretary in the national board of the Young Socialists in the Dutch Labour Party. The Dutch Labour Party is a centre-left political party and was founded in 1946. As a national board member, I was full time engaged with the day-to-day running and strategy of the youth organisation. Furthermore, as International Secretary, I was responsible for the youth campaign in the 2019 EU elections (win for Dutch Labour Party), participated in several debates and public speaking engagements, organised meetings and political trips, engaged with diplomatic services in The Netherlands, traveled to 15 countries for political meetings (Portugal, Tunisia, Iceland, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Austria, Serbia, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Belgium, Bulgaria) and represented my organization at our international partners YES (Young European Socialists) and IUSY (International Union of Socialist Youth).

In 2016, I was elected as a member of the Dutch Young Socialists' National Presidium. In this role, I was responsible for presiding over the national congress, enforcing the rules and regulations of the organisation, and for the organisation's elections.

Starting in my second year of high school, I was elected as student body president and represented over 600 students at the School’s Council and management. In this role, I made contributions to a variety of topics such as the school’s curriculum, finances, salaries, and locations. In addition, I was part of a hiring committee when a new team manager needed to be recruited. The school faced several challenges throughout my mandate as it experienced significant growth due to the school’s high popularity. It was crucial to create policy that would enable the school to offer education to as many prospective students as possible while maintaining its small scale Waldorf experience.

While at school, I became a chorister at the National Boys Choir in The Netherlands, where I was educated in music theory, solfège and singing on a weekly basis. The choir was often part of concerts with a wide-range of renowned orchestras such as the Concertgebouw Orkest and the Dutch Radio Philharmonic, with conductors such as Jaap van Zweden, Ivan Fisher, and Mariss Jansons. I also performed solo parts, both in and outside the choir setting, for which I was mentored by baritone David Wilson-Johnson. Those parts include Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, Mendelssohn’s Elias, and the role Aeneas in Purcell’s opera Dido and Aeneas.
