Initially created demand by nurturing relationships with key opinion leaders, then expanded brand awareness through strategic partnerships with companies, and alliances with study clubs, dental societies and associations. Evolved marketing strategy to effectively deploy electronic media campaigns and educational events. Hired and managed 82 employees. Seattle—Tashkent Mountaineering Exchange volunteer activities led to invitation from REI to create the first Westerners’ adventure company in the USSR. Opened and managed office in Moscow, hired staff, navigated governmental permitting process, developed infrastructure of logistics partners, recruited and trained guides. Led trekking, cycling, and climbing expeditions in mountain ranges never previously traveled by Americans.
