Early startup venture developing a messaging service and protocols for a non-proprietary library of web apps and APIs. Prior to the emergence of Microsoft's .NET, Apple's App Store, Google Play, or Amazon Web Services, goal was to allow developers in any environment author and interface with apps that could be seamlessly migrated and interpreted cross-platform, functioning compatibly as an "internet computer". Tested the speed and function of the messaging system and the interoperability of alpha-stage online applications. Worked in both Windows and Linux environments. Wrote test scripts in Visual Test and Visual Basic. Wrote testing programs in C++. Logged bugs using internal test case management software. Collaborated with program managers and software development engineers to ensure adherence to design specifications. Wrote test plans and presented to teams on software performance metrics.

After completing three internships through college, hired fulltime in 1999. Provided software testing and quality assurance to multiple desktop mapping products within Microsoft's Geography Unit of the Interactive Media Division. Shipped final products including Trip Planner, Streets & Trips, AutoRoute, and MapPoint. Participated in early planning, testing, and debugging of Expedia Streets and Trips 2000.
