I am a board certified behavior analyst with 20+ years experience providing a variety of support services to individuals experiencing significant developmental differences, "dual-diagnoses", etc. My focus is on elevating status quo "programming" and outcome standards typically experienced by service recipients. Specific targets in this effort include, but are not limited to: increasing presence of best practice methods into training process and systems for direct support professionals/other programming professionals/family/community members, etc. Development of sustainable programming "permanent products" which can be standardized, scaled up, and generalized without sacrificing individualization for the user. Evolution of current service industry culture beyond process-oriented outcome standards and towards achievement-oriented best practices without creating counter-productive encumbrances on existing support systems or resources.Across my experience I have found these challenges and needs both exist and persist across the entire provider community/"special needs" service industry.
