This work eventually led to the SIAMOC/Elsevier Best Methodological Work award 2012 and to a publication on Gait & Posture (Riva F, Toebes MJP, Pijnappels M, Stagni R, van Dieën JH, “Estimating fall risk with inertial sensors using gait stability measures that do not require step detection”, Gait & Posture, Volume 38, Issue 2, June 2013, Pages 170-174).
