Connecting ideas, people and organisations to develop concrete solutions for water-cycle management around the globe. That is the ambition of Frodo van Oostveen. Frodo has a broad experience in sustainable business development in the international water sector. In 2019 Frodo returned from Asia where he worked and lived for five years in Singapore and Myanmar. In Asia he co-founded The Water Agency, an organisation that runs water hubs in Asia Pacific to unite organisations in tackling the region's most pressing water challenges. He was the Chairman of the Singapore Netherlands Water House, a platform for networking, communication and cooperation amongst the Dutch water sector in Singapore (Asia). Prior to that, Frodo was responsible for multi-stakeholder partnerships focused on the effective monitoring of agriculture, climate adaptation and water, sanitation & hygiene programs in Africa and South East Asia at Akvo.org. Furthermore, he founded the social enterprise Crazy About Water, dedicated to empowering people who are passionate and eager to collectively impact positively watersystems.Frodo also worked on strengthening Public-Private water partnerships in Asia as Regional Director for the Netherlands Water Partnership. He translated market intelligence into concrete business opportunities for the Dutch Water Sector.Frodo has an MBA from Radboud University Nijmegen and a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Commercial Economics from Tilburg University. In addition, he graduated from the Singapore Management University (Master of Tri-Sector Collaboration) where he learned how to empower emerging leaders from businesses, governments and civil society to work together to develop sustainable solutions to the world’s big challenges.
