I led and managed a new events team of 7 special and challenge event fundraisers responsible for raising £2million. As part of the new strategy I developed the special events side of the team to become 'functional specialists' who took on event management throughout the entire organisation. This was extremely well received internally as it significantly saved time and money being spent within other teams. I left this role to have a baby in August 2013.

I created and implemented a new running, challenge and special events strategy that increased income within my team by 60% in 3 years. I grew the team from 3 to 6 fundraisers, introduced new events and income streams within the events portfolio, sat on cross divisional working groups which focused on re-writing the CRM database, rebrand of the charity and redesign of the new charity website.

I created, implemented and maintained a programme of events to raise funds and awareness for Team GB. Events included the annual Olympic Gold Ball at the Natural History Museum, attended by HRH Princess Royal and in association with BBC Sport, the Beijing Send Off Ball at the Battersea Evolution and a re-staging of the 1908 London Olympic Games Polo Match Final at Guards Polo Club which cumulatively raised in excess of £250,000 for Team GB.

I was responsible for organising a number of awareness raising events at City University. These included; The Annual Chancellors Dinner, a black tie dinner held at Mansion House and attended by 260 top business executives, dignitaries & influential individuals, several Graduation Ceremonies involving in excess of 2000 students held at Guildhall, Westminster Central Hall & Southwark Cathedral and I introduced a series of City Leaders lectures which welcomed Industry leaders into the University, reaffirming City as the University for business and the professions.

During my five years at Leonard Cheshire I was promoted from events assistant, to coordinator and finally to manager where I introduced a new calendar of running, challenge and special events that were fundamental to an increased team income. I effectively supervised and trained two events co-ordinators; structuring work load and implementing quarterly personal reviews.
