    Competing for the title of Portland's smallest brewery, Humble Brewing gave me plenty of fun stuff to do with my "off hours". My partner and I were brewing and distributing small-batch, hand crafted ales and lagers for the kind people of North Portland.This project gave me the chance to build an upstart challenger brand from the ground up, combining traditional sales channels and events with digital and social marketing to create awareness and demand in a city full of craft beer options. The result was definitely a small-scale win. In our ~5 year span, we built a reputation with a loyal following and earned some accolades along the way. We earned a dedicated handle at an Oregonian Restaurant of the Year and were regularly featured on tap at Portland's best beer bars. While it was the kind of side hustle that was mostly hustle (aka hard work), I wouldn't have traded the experience for anything.
