The Materials Practice at Brightworks has grown from a team of one to a team of many. With that, Jeff is currently Practice Lead and supports our clients and our internal teams in building their materials knowledge and developing programmatic approaches to materials. Material evaluations, Health and Toxicity, Embodied Carbon and corporate reporting, Circularity have been key areas of expertise. In addition, Jeff spends a lot of time bringing two streams of work together, clients sustainability programs and industry change and standardization. The goal is to move both of these equally to expand the impact that our clients can have beyond just their own programs. We work a lot with a handful of non-profit organizations to bring these activities to life. Our biggest asset and value is our collaborative nature.

Topics have ranged from green building, sustainability, green products, ‘greenwashing’, certifications, indoor air quality, externalities & values, corporate responsibility, LEED MRc4, red list chemicals, living buildings and climate change.
