Alongside my role as IT Technician I have been given the responsibility of being the school's Online Safety Lead. I am now fully certified to provide Online Safety training to members of staff. This role has also required me to update our main policies and our Acceptable Use Policies for staff and pupils.

Desktop Support - This is my primary role, to be on hand for all staff (teachers, TAs, office staff and management) to assist them with any issues they might have.Server Management - Maintaining and managing the server is an ongoing task. Some of the services I have to manage are Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP & DNS, WSUS, Hyper-V.LAN Network & Cabling - There are almost 600 pupils and over 60 members of staff spread across a large Victorian era built school, which has meant for a lot of cabling and many switch locations.Wireless Network - The wireless network is made up of multiple CISCO Meraki access points which are all managed from a cloud based controller.Image and Software Deployment - Deploying new or upgraded software to machines remotely is another of my roles. I also deploy clean or pre-configured Windows images from the server.Office 365 - The school use Office 365 for their email and calendar needs. I migrated all users across, from the previous IMAP email system they had set up before, to Office 365.Sharepoint/OneDrive for Business - Many of the year groups use OneDrive for Business to share and collaborate their documents, which I have set up since we have moved to Office 365.Website - Keeping the website up to date with new content, updating year group pages and adding important items from management such as data and policiesTraining - I have led a number of training sessions for staff on how to use new technologies that have been implemented within the school. I have also provided training documents and guides for new members of staff.iPad Configuration and Deployment - This has been a more recent role with the purchase of multiple iPads for teachers and classroom use. I use Apple Configurator and an MDM to deploy them.Pricing/Quotations & Future Planning - Looking ahead and planning future IT requirements is a large part of my job. I am required to recognise areas which need investment and ways we can move forward.

Mainly technical support, doing tasks such as virus removal, hardware upgrades, fixing slow computers, networking issues etc.Specialise in fixing mobile phones, in particular broken iPhone screens.I also manage and keep up to date a small number of social media sites for charities and businesses.

I worked for a couple of months, over the summer break, for a building contractors in Suffolk. I worked there for the 3 years consecutive years, doing a wide variety of tasks. This included carpentry, plumbing, electrics and general construction labour - on site and in the building yard. I was also asked to drive numerous vehicles during my time there.Although the days were long and physically tiring, I really enjoyed my time there. I feel I am a practical person by nature, so I really got stuck in and learnt many new skills whilst working there.

For 3 year I did some gardening, and many other general tasks for an elderly lady in the community. I worked all year round for a 2 hours, normally a couple of days a week.
