As a data scientist, I was responsible for project oversight and high-level performance, to include project scoping, planning, and execution. This also includes all previous duties from the Data Analyst position held previously.

I have been privileged to be part of the Expedia Global Payments (EGP) Quality and Operational Risk Management team, doing work related to risk management and process optimization. My main duties involve:-Data Sourcing (SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata) using TOAD Data Point and SSMS-Data Visualization (Tableau and Qlik Sense) working closely with business partners-Business Analysis - working closely with partners to improve their processesI was also proud to estabish a functioning Scrum framework when I came to this team, as well as serve as Scrum Master. Working with the PO to achieve optimum results is always a rewarding challenge!

I was involved in using predictive analytics inside dashboards to easily demonstrate insights to the executive leadership team of HPE. I served as a lead developer in a Recognitions dashboard using Qlikview, which was instrumental in driving executive strategy for FY '17. Notable Project:1. I was working on a Qlikview dashboard that allowed HP executives to track recognitions given across the organization, as well as several different views of budget utilization. Other Projects: 1. Workforce Planning Dashboard - Tableau -> Used HR data to predict workforce trends and drive decision-making at the executive level. -> This project is a conversion of an existing Qlikview dashboard, with a focus on analytics.2. Ongoing Split Activities - HPE -> This encompasses many aspects of the separation of the company into two separate entities. ->Includes SIT and UAT (testing), as well as development activities (cloning & masking data). I also served as Scrum Master on the HR BI team, which was a very rewarding experience.

I was involved in using forward-thinking data mining algorithms and processes to support the massive undertaking that is the HP split. I was also involved in day-to-day support activities that contributed to all phases of the SDLC, as needed by my team. I also wrapped up work on a dashboard used to relay business metrics to our executives, as well as trained in both Hadoop and Vertica to further my career goals.

I was the Assistant Lab Admin for the Computer Science department, as well as a TA for an Intro to Programming class. I really enjoyed both positions, as they strengthened both my IT skills and my Python comprehension. I also enjoyed the experience of being able to teach novices and non-majors the joys of programming, as well as the unique mindset it requires.

I was tasked with working on data collection for Project Moonshot, the low-power server initiative, as well as upgrading the SSA website and doing data transfer.

Our group was tasked with creating an autonomous wheelchair prototype which could navigate using RFID tags. We were successful using an Arduino board with a rover attachment to simulate the wheelchair. This was my first research project and I was very excited and grateful to be a part of it!
